Over the years I have written documents and performed tasks that are not easily displayed. I am self taught in professional publishing in print and online with Quark, Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft and many online organizational and task driven apps.

  • Internal training manuals with policies and procedures utilizing text and videos

  • Gained license to service, install and maintain fire extinguishers
  • Wrote, designed, serviced and installed extinguisher plan for Whitehouse Schools

Texas Workforce Center

  • Wrote proposal in response to RFP
  • Created commercial used to increase available employee pool

Dallas Area Rapid Transit
(DART Bus Service)

  • Proposed and planned automatically updated map of highways indicating traffic flow patterns  online through collaborations with Shadow Traffic live updates (helicopter) and digital MAPSCO files in 1998

The Caravan
(A 2,500 mile transcontinental horse-drawn journey & film)

This was one of the more challenging and rewarding things I have done.

  • Scouted and provided logistical agenda daily for horse and semi-truck routes while traveling with the group or just one day ahead.
    • Gauged  level of difficulty and intensity
    • Discovered complimentary hospitable accommodations
    • Found water in the desert,  planned for conditions
    • Gathered and document all infrastructure requirements
    • Disseminated route details with maps that were calculated by the mile

      • Added scenic possibilities for film crew and area history for guests
    • Located and offered alternatives with varied routes
    • Worked with media and local authorities
    • Utilized Google Earth, MapMyRide and DeLorme Maps
    • Scheduleed and planned excursions
    • Provided help and support with horses, packed, prepared and served meals
    • Attained everything free or at an extreme discount
      • Work 17 hours a day, 7 days a week with a smile

Copper River Construction
(Commercial Construction)

  • Dallas Green compliance and reporting while building an addition to the Dallas Country Club
    • Gained required documents for contractors to be legal on the job

Volunteer in Service to America
(National program to improve poverty stricken areas)

  • Increase the prosperity of Winnsboro Texas and create jobs through the existing arts programs
  • Turned a local listening room into a 501C3 to keep it alive and gain donations
    • Booked and promoted bands
    • Created magazine to promote the music
  • Had historic building donated and restored utilizing an all volunteer workforce
    • Requested city and county help de-construct the building with the help of prisoners
  • Booked and managed a 3-day outdoor festival
    • Negotiated contracts, promoted, created ad copy and design, booked entertainment, sold booths, hired caterer
    • Gained permits, acquired grants,
    • Arranged street closures
    • Assist with alcohol permits
    • Create agendas for workers separately from attendees
    • Hosted talent contest, gathered prizes

East Texas Heart Gallery
(Non-Profit recruitment tool for forever families)

  • Formed and filed 501C3 non-profit documents including the creation of bylaws, volunteer and board policies and a budget
  • Wrote & reported on grants to counties, state and private foundations
    • Created multi-dimensional budget with 5 year projections
  • Wrote letters and requests for support to city, state and federal officials
    • Wrote and rewrote the Memorandum of Understanding with Child Protective Services
  • Wrote standards of service with legal requirements for photographing and displaying children who were legally free for adoption
  • Formed Texas Heart Gallery, Formed Faith-based recruiting efforts, served on the first Heart Gallery of America Board
  • Collaborated with many public and private organizations
  • Planned photo shoots as events for HTP children to enjoy and get to know their workers
  • Planned portrait display events at multiple locations regularly
  • Recruited weekly promotions from papers, radio and television
    • Photographed over 250 children and had families selected for more than half in 5 years
